About Us
In 2018, Metamorphosis Ink LLC in Dunedin, FL was co-founded by Lita and her wife Dawn Benduhn, along with her apprentice/protégé Ciara Meyer. It is a studio built specifically to transform lives through mastectomy and scar tattooing. Our motto, “Transforming scars, transforming lives, one drop of ink at a time,” encapsulates the essence of our mission. Every stroke of ink tells a story of courage, turning physical scars into symbols of survival and beauty.

We’re not just creating art; we’re restoring confidence.

Lita has won many awards which include best color, best chest, best ornamental/geometric, best black and gray dark skin, to name a few. She is also well known throughout the Florida medical community.
Her expertise in 3D nipple tattooing involves advanced techniques that replicate the natural appearance of areolas on reconstructed breasts. she travels and teaches other tattoo artists this same delicate craft, always emphasizing the importance of this work being done by qualified professionals. Her studio has become a teaching studio and beacon for artists who share her passion and has expanded to include her next apprentice, an incredibly talented and unique individual, Kaiser Ulrich. He began his career with Lita in 2021 and is an award-winning artist as well. He intends to also carry the torch for mastectomy and scar recovery.
As one of the few studios with credentials qualifying us as healthcare providers, we are bridging the gap between art and medicine. This recognition allows some women to be reimbursed by their insurance companies for areola tattooing and was a huge dream come true for Lita.
In the realm of art and healing, there exists a profound intersection where ink meets skin, and scars become canvases for rebirth. Welcome to “Boobs and Tattoos: Healing Beyond the Skin,” a visual testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of art.
